Welcome to Scoot Your Pooch!

My name is Amy Theusch. I am the owner of Scoot Your Pooch. I offer walking, home visits, overnight services and basic training—just for dogs.

I have had dogs all my life and most of my free time has been spent volunteering with various rescue groups. I volunteered with Stray Rescue St Louis for over ten years, walking, rescuing, cleaning cages, medicating and taking dogs to various adoption events. I also volunteered at St Ann Animal Shelter and Gasconade Animal Control before they closed. I’m experienced, take my job seriously, and absolutely love dogs!

I believe we are committed to giving dogs what they deserve so they can thrive and be happy. But the world can be a busy place and sometimes people need help caring for their dogs amid their busy lives. Because of that, along with my insatiable passion to impact the lives of dogs for the better, Scoot Your Pooch was born! Come home after a long day to a dog that’s been exercised and well cared for while you’re out! This is where I can help!

Testimonials

Amy was asking questions about Roxy’s needs and routine before I even thought about it! Our little girl was loved, walked and pampered while in her care. Thanks Amy!

Odie is a rescue and was a bit timid on the leash and we couldn’t seem to get him to walk. Amy took Odie for his first walk ever and he had so much fun, he ran around the house in circles after Amy brought him home. She is great with our dog!

I cannot thank you enough for the amazing job you do walking Dakota! She has so much energy and is always on the go…after a long walk with you, she is worn out and I can get some work done! She is difficult for me to walk, she loves to walk with you and it seems so easy for you to manage her. When she hears your voice now, she starts looking for her leash.

You have been a lifesaver! My poor dog had 11 hour days before you or else I would have to drop everything at work and take the dog out before getting kids for activities. It made for a chaotic day. Thank you Amy!
