Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What services do you offer?
    1. Daily dog walking from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
    2. Basic dog training including but not limited to: sit, down, off, down-stay, come, leave it, look, wait, heal (on leash).
    3. Overnight stays at your house to keep your dog comfy and cozy while you’re away. I am also happy to pick up mail, water plants, etc.
  2. What is your service area? Clayton, University City, Olivette, Frontenac, Ladue, and most of Creve Coeur.
  3. Do you provide services on holidays? Yes! Please book in advance for holidays listed. I do charge a $10 holiday service fee on New Years Eve, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  4. Will there be anyone else with you when you enter my home? NO! There will NEVER be anyone other than me entering your home without your expressed permission.
  5. How will I know you’ve been to my house and I’ve had service? I will leave you a daily summary of your dog’s activities after each visit and send pictures and videos!
  6. Am I charged extra for more than one dog? No additional charge is incurred for a home visit for more than one dog. If more than 2 dogs are walked, I charge an additional $5 per dog.
  7. Do you require dogs to be vaccinated? Yes. For your dogs safety, I require your dogs to be vaccinated, particularly with Bordetella vaccine.
  8. Are you able to come at a specific time for service? I will do my best to accommodate a specified time, but unfortunately I cannot guarantee it. There are circumstances out of my control such as weather, traffic, or emergencies with dogs that are scheduled prior to your service.
  9. Are you insured? Yes!
  10. What happens if my pet(s) have an emergency while I am away? I will follow the instructions you have provided me with at the initial Meet & Greet.
  11. When is payment expected? Payment is expected at the time of service unless other arrangements are made. You are welcome to pay by check, cash, or Venmo
  12. Where do you store my keys? Your keys are tagged ONLY with the name of your pet, never your address. You have the option of allowing me to retain your keys. This is helpful if you think you will need ongoing or unexpected services. Your keys are kept in a secure lock box when not in use. If you choose not to have your keys retained, picking up and returning keys requires extra cost for drive time and mileage. To pick up and return keys after the first service is $5 each direction.
  13. Do you walk in packs? Yes, if I am certain all dogs are healthy and get along, I will walk in packs. If your preference is not to walk your dog in a pack I will of course honor this, though most dogs love to be with other dogs!
  14. Why do you charge for Meet & Greet? I understand not every dog walking business charges for a Meet & Greet, but like many professions, my time is how I earn a living which is why I charge a minimal fee for Meet & Greet.
  15. Why is house sitting not a set price? A 12 year old dog that sleeps most of the day aside from eating and going out is less of a responsibility than a young adult who digs monster trenches and eats your furniture if not closely supervised. Fee is based upon the kind of care and supervision your dog(s) requires.
